At Gladiator Repipe in San Jose, one of the most common questions we’re asked is, “How long will it take to repipe my home?” While the answer to that question can vary depending on the size of the house and the extent of the plumbing that needs to be replaced, we always work quickly and diligently on every copper repipe project we take on. If you’d like to learn more about our repiping services, then please contact us today!

One-Day Copper Repipe

Our goal is to have your repipe project done in as little as one day, but there are some steps to take before we can begin removing your old galvanized pipes and installing new copper plumbing. Once the proper permits have been attained to start on the repiping, there’s often an inspection by a certified city inspector. After that is complete, we’ll get to work right away.

A typical repipe job will take one to two days, depending on the size of your home. We know how to approach each home so that there aren’t too many roadblocks or hiccups in the process. We’ll take out the old, troublesome pipes, while adding new copper pipes as we go.

Making Things Look Like New

One aspect of any repiping project to keep in mind is that we’ll have to make holes in your home’s drywall to access the plumbing. We do this logically and methodically, in order to minimize the mess that’s made and to help with cleanup once we’re done. After the new copper pipes are in place and we’re sure everything is working properly, we’ll patch the drywall and make everything look like new. This can take up to a day to complete, as we always take our time to ensure the job’s done right.

Limiting Disruptions to Your Daily Life

We know that having new pipes installed can cause some disruptions to your daily life, namely in the way of showering, cleaning, and other tasks for which you need water. We’ll work diligently to have new pipes in place so that you have at least one working bathroom by the end of the first day. We’ll always treat you and your property with respect, making sure we’re cleaning up after ourselves and leaving your home looking great. We’ll only be working in certain areas of the house, so hopefully the disruptions will be minimal.
